Crop Circle - 2004

I wouldn't call myself a proper 'croppie' but ever since reading a book on Crop Circles I have found these fascinating geometrical shapes in corn fields quite interesting.

Imagine my excitement when I read that a crop circle had appeared in a field of winter wheat a few villages away from where we live!

Thalheim is a pleasant village in the Thur valley on the railway line from Winterthur to Stein am Rhein. Not incredibly famous and by no means mentioned in the average tourist guide. However, when we visited the crop circle on Sunday 11^th July we were certainly not the only strangers plodding our way through the flattened wheat.
